Boudoir Saved from Drowning

For Lee Johnston

Valence and perfect blue flags in the day
your dappled ivory returned to my hand
villages of eyes the susurration
of chinchilla valleys of memory
only now the figure emerging from
grey by dixie, the chesterfield you here
step in where separation ends begins
again, as clouds pass bells ring water runs down.

Sweet vandal of the eerie kisses shine
delighted galleons set sail for all
the Americas not moving one slap
but numbering in mutuality's
nest the whole vintage of lorries made
ready, where soft the act at once surrounds.
